For yours truly, writing anything beyond a sentence is an arduous venture. For this reason, I've found some exhibitionistic release in the sound-bite-ish formats of Twitter and Facebook. Even then, constructing a sentence has been a struggle. There is a bottom line with which I am coming to grips, and consequently, being strangled by the fact:
I am lazy.
So, what goes on in this corner of the world? Much. I've...
... purchased a new gold filter for my coffeemaker. Not only is it an environmentally sound purchase, but my
coffee has reached new heights in deliciousness.
...watched and loved all of Eric Rohmer's "6 Moral Tales."
...celebrated the 5th birthday of sister kittens, Celeste ("Celly") and Madeline ("MadCat") and the full
recovery of Benet after bladder surgery.
...observed the 30th anniversary of my graduation from high school by saying. "Hey, that's a long time."
...bought a membership to the Cleveland Cinematheque.
...visited my
first winery and fallen heels over head for a white wine.
...accumulated an estimated 10,000 return address labels from various charities and enough greeting
cards to cover every birthday and holiday through 2023.
...begun Christmas '08 preparations. This, in contradiction with the aforementioned laziness.
...learned to sing in acceptable harmony with my Al Martino CD.
Yes, that is about it. Now to conquer my inner-sloth.
