Oh believe me, I know. We bought a house built in 1963, that was inhabited by the original owners until we bought it. Most of the rooms in the place have no ceiling lights, let alone fans (which are valuable money savers in AZ summers), no grounded outlets, insane grandma flower wallpaper, I'm sure you know the drill. The master bedroom even has an original phone company-issued rotary phone hard wired into the wall. No phone jack. I imagine there are much older houses back east with issues far beyond cosmetic and convenience concerns. We're having so much fun planning how we're going to make the place our own though

Thanks sweetie. So far most things aren't too shabby in my world. Worst thing I have coming is the probable forclosure on the house. But it's ok. Life otherwise is damned shinny!

And aren't houses grand? Even the coupons that came with the change of address confirmation were exciting and awesome.
