And be free.

I am mostly moved. I spent the past three days unpacking, relaxing, and doing Richard Simmons workout tapes with Lauren. I had left my computer power cord and my phone charger at my old apartment, along with a multitude of other things, and didn't return for them until today. Being disconnected made me feel very free. I checked my voicemail a couple of times a day, but that was it, and it felt good. Now I am back, and connected, but still free from obligations (aside from cleaning out my old apartment the rest of the way) until school starts.

Not working at Java Detour for a few days has meant that my caffeine intake has decreased dramatically, and as a result I am much more relaxed, more relaxed, in fact than I have been in five months or so. At times I feel sort of like a zombie, but I'm pretty sure once I'm used to not having three to four cups of coffee per morning that feeling will go away. And being a zombie is much better than grinding your jaw 24/7, which I'm pleased to say has stopped!

I love my new house. I love my roommates, the cats, the view from our balcony, and everything else. I think the change of scenery is going to do me a lot of good. I was pretty sure that the transition from living by myself to living with seven other people was going to be much more stressful, but from the time I dropped off the U-Haul until today, I've felt better than I have in a long time.

In conclusion, life is good.
