Oh my God, did I make you like Peeta?!? I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that kind of power...

I've actually never once said that I dislike Peeta by himself. Just Peeta/Katniss. ;)

I am Numb. Ya, thats the word for it. This is....Well I don't know what this is. I wish it wasnt so amzing. After Mockingjay I raged for days. Prim had been immortal in my mind. My mind was wrong.

I was too confused to rage after MJ, to be honest. Sorry about the numbness :\

YOU KILLED PEETA!!! *dies*

Watching Prim's change was honestly one of the most heartbreaking things ever. She was so innocent and pure... and then she becomes so evil. As crafty as her kills were, it was terrible to see the Games transform her so much.

The exchanges between Katniss and Gale were also heartbreaking. I'm in no way Team Gale, but I do love their friendship and the strength they give each other. In a way, I'm glad she didn't forgive Gale because Prim's actions in the Games broke her, but I hope she eases up on him in the future.

This was great as usual. Also the norm? My heart is ripped to shreds. I still can't wait for more.

I did, yes. Sorry :\ I think I've developed a taste for character death.

The Games really do change people, but at the same time, I'm not sure Prim was ever as delicate as Katniss believed. Katniss is not the most reliable narrator, especially with regards to her family. I think Prim might be capable of more than it seemed, and that includes the bad as well as the good.

Glad you're non-Team Gale but don't hate Gale as a result :) Katniss will probably never forgive Gale for what he did -- it was basically the worst betrayal possible -- but in time, yeah, I imagine she'll ease up. She's already easing up by the end. If nothing else, she understands that she might've tried the same thing.

Sorry about your heart :\ I doubt there'll be more, but you never know. I have a history about saying that.

I'm realizing in retrospect that I had a very bad day on Monday, then wrote this on Tuesday. Sorry for sticking everyone with my issues ( ... )

(She's really an unreliable narrator in general. I don't consider that to be a flaw of the book.)

I agree. I actually love that - sometimes it is definitely a flaw in storytelling, but here I think it works for how we empathize with and understand Katniss - it becomes clear that she's a biased through her interpretations of others' actions and I think it makes her...more human, maybe?

it's Peeta-the-Manipulator. He's so *good* at playing the crowdHe really is, and I often see that cited as reasons why he's not a good person, because he lies too well. But the thing I keep coming back to is - he's not a sociopath; he was MADE to be this way, there is a REASON. It's why I wasn't surprised in the least (hurt, of COURSE, but not surprised) when he was so cruel in his recovery and the indication that he has relapses into that darkness after MJ. He's just as flawed as the rest of them, and while yes, I am a Peeta/Katniss person (MOSTLY later in CF and post-MJ where they are each other's support network - I honestly think that's the most ( ... )

Definitely more human. Well... at least in a fanwankable sort of way, if that makes sense. If it's actually poor character development, it's easy to explain away ( ... )
