right now i'm sitting in the maclab on the usc campus. this place is really amazing, i've learned so much. tonight's kareoke, which should be awkward because i think a lot of people only do that when they're drunk.
i was kind of nervous when i got here but turns out calie chapman and i are dorm mates. and also the only people from wando who came here. we've been dancing to the faint and getting lost around campus together for two days. we went to california dreaming with miss watkins last night. she's so sweet and overemotional and funny. i've finished my personal column and i'm really proud of it. i like journalism a lot, despite how manipulative and nosy it has to be.
coincedentally, boy's state convention is this weekend too. if you ever want to get worshipped on a wide scale, go in a field with a bunch of guys who haven't seen a girl in about a week. "if you want to see boy's state, come back to my room."
i'm stalling for time, waiting for my teacher to reread my column.
"jesus child, you can write.
god child, you have some kind of gift."
i don't want to go home. i don't have the kind of friends that i think i have.
