Where did the phrase "hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil" come from? I'm guessing it is at least a western phrase, as I'm sure that the carvings at Pier One are of Asian origin.

If they didn't want something ridiculous for this carving (I think it was between $75 and $100), I probably would have bought it... I even considered asking the manager for a discount, since it was obviously a flaw :)
