Yesterday I blacked out for a second while donating blood. It was scary. It was just a second, but I was definitely not in the room for that second. When I opened my eyes all the nurses were around the chair yelling my name. I was about halfway through the donation - guess I overhydrated and underate. I've had trouble with being dehydrated while donating before, so I had a lot of water, but then I was so full of water I wasn't hungry, and then hadn't had enough to eat before donating. Gotta find that balance. It wiped me out so much I'm really not up to much this weekend, which is different from the busy busy weekends I've had this summer.
It would have been my one gallon donation, too.
In family news, Tuesday is my sister's 22nd birthday. Brother is leaving for college (USC) that day, too. Big week for family. I'm still living with the folks. Gotta buy a new computer, then start saving for a deposit so I can get my own place. Except I keep spending heaps of money on things like my birthday party and fancy mud baths and hula hoop class.
My Dell laptop still doesn't work. This has been six months now (I didn't want to deal with it for a while). I called today to have it "reset to factory settings" - basically wiped clean to how it was when if left the factory. It worked for about 45 minutes and then spontaneously shut down - again. I'm very close to buying a macbook. Any suggestions?
And, in two weeks, I'll be in Portland!
