On Canadian Speech Patterns.
Interestingly enough, though I currently live very close to the Canadian border, I'm constantly amazed at the fact that I can't really gauge people as being Canadian until they say certain words.
Today, it was project. As in a project to work on together.
He kept saying it pro-ject. Like, professional.
I was always taught to say it pra-ject, unless I was attempting to speak about projecting my voice through the room.
Funny how all it takes is one vowel, and your brain says: "Ah. Canada."
