My Mom's stepmother died on Tuesday. We were never close. It's one of those things where you know it's sad, and you recognize loss, but you can move on. My Dad knew her, so I called him to let him know. He told me that Wednesday night, my Aunt Beth shot herself

I'm sorry to hear about Rita. She was always kind and complimentary to me, someone she hardly knew.

From what you say about Aunt Beth (I guess she just couldn't fight anymore. She was one of the most amazing women I've ever known) I think we can admire how well she did for so long. She helped other people as a nurse, instead of just expecting others to help her.

I feel terrible for her children, and of course for you, with all this loss at once.
