Wasting time
I miss Michael :(. I get to talk to him about an hour each night, but it's just not the same. I recently found that buying him junk to mail to him helps me feel better, but that gets expensive (and we're broke for now). I just bought him a ton of snacks, a sudoku game, a disposable camera, and some various toiletry items. Hopefully that will last him until July!
Karen and I are going down to see Michael and Buck July 3-July 5 during their Independence Day break. Just as I'm getting used to not having him next to me when I go to sleep at night, I get to see him and then have to re-adjust myself to it again. I'm not complaining though.
Good news (for now): Their official orders say that their active duty period is "not to exceed 400 days". Now, unless they get extended (oh, I pray they don't), I'm thinking that means the 400 days is including their training, and they will get to come home MUCH sooner than I was anticipating. *happy day* I hope it all works out that way... we'll actually get to start our lives as an old married couple. :)
