The Saga of Roach

I hit it with a shoe, but it was too tough.
It stayed in the shadows, I sprayed some stuff.
The beast re-emerged, and crawled onto my bed.
The shoe made contact, but a pillow makes for more bounce than squish...
The saga closes with the cockroach slowly succumbing to the poison...
and me sleeping on the couch.

But now, I think I like it. Tonight, I went to a slam poetry open mike night. I was there with Joshua -- one of the pastors of Christ the King Church -- and his wife Kelly.
