so, it turns out getting stupid drunk doesn't help your cold....

so, friday i stayed home and didn't really do much of anything except head to midtown around 4 to get my teaching materials. then jr and i went up to the roof and took a bunch of photos so he could do a photo reference project. some of the pictures were pretty cool :)
after that i spent a stupid amount of time getting uptown to see muffin for a few hours before she whisked off to chicago again to see her boyface. muffin, being the wonderful person she is, has given me the key to her flat so i have somewhere to live (because lulu has already moved out and she owned all the furniture in the apt.)
i got about 2 hours of sleep, and then made my way up to the bronx to teach a pjs class (peter jay sharp is the scholarship program tpr offers for underpriveleged students. it starts when they're in 10th grade and preps them for the psat and sat, so tehy can more effectively compete for the scholarships they need)
after that it was back to the apt (that i had locked myself out of) to meet allison so she could sign her lease. Yay!
Steve let me back in my flat, and i got about an hour to nap before i had to get ready to meet rick
rick and i went to a musical about voluntary amputations. it was odd. the music was interesting if not a bit esoteric. the female actress was middling, but the male lead was....Brilliant. i don't think i have EVER seen an actor with that much physical control. i don't think there was a moment in the hour and a half that he was not 100% planned and controlled.
then we want to l'asso for "the best pizza in nyc", and it was ok. the service was piddling.
THEN we went to the bar, because heloise and the savoiur faire were playing, and we both very much like her. we got CRAZY drunk, and i was buying drinks for just everyone. everyone. the whole band. me and rick. my coworkers. my bosses. it was amazing. and what a night to decide to be nice, because elijah wood had come along to see heloise's show and i was able to at least (hopefully) give him a positive view of the bar and impress upon him how much i enjoy him producing heloise.
*phew* FINALLY got a brush with stardom in nyc. i can leave now.

somehow made our way back to helena's, and the door people didn't give me any trouble. and then i was non-existent from 4am to 1:30pm. and then the hangover....oh...the hangover...
we went to some little diner on broadway and had breakfast (or as much as my poor stomach would allow), and then i made the looooong trip back to brooklyn. i had maybe an hour to rest before work, but it was worth it.
I was completely ruined for sunday night. when i finally got over the hangover, i still had a terrible cold. even all the cold meds in the world couldn't help. luckily george let me go at 1am, and i owe him forever for it.
also lucky because i needed to go to jfk to get my rental car. it only took 2 and a half hours to get to jfk... :-p
and then i got stupidly lost in brooklyn and queens. just. stoooopidly lost. i got home and hour and a half later, packed the car and took a half hour nap before heading into the city to meet elissa and get the keys to the theatre so i could get the minivan seat. finally, by 9:30, i was on the road home. i took one 1hr nap so i wouldn't crash, drank 4 acns of redbull, and got to angel's house by 4pm. we went to an italian rest near southjeff for dinner and talked about the wedding plans. she showed me her dress and the bridesmaid's dresses. we didn't really talk about the b'ette party, but i think it's because she's in wedding overload. i tried to keep it light.
then it was down to rena's to see the kandlers and mom and ry. william is just amazing. simply amazing. he will never stop amazing me with how advanced he is. i had a good time talking with rena, and didn't leave till 11pm. which means i missed time with daddy. i always miss time with someone...
today daddy was going to take the day off, but i told him to not worry. i've got to do some emails for fiona and then leave by noon. i'd like to have the time with him, but it wouldn't really be time anyway...

so. there you go. off to dc tonite.

rental car, work, william, moving, schmitty, helena, watertown, wedding, heloise, angel, mom, theatre, elijah wood, midway, daddy, rena
