the folks at tbj were gushing at the end of the night about how they wish i could work for them, and one of the girls said she'd see if there was a short term project she could find to have me work on with them while i'm here.
louise, ralph and bruno got me wasted last night. so very very trashed.
giving up on hersh. he's a good kid, but it's like trying to get jenjen to go out to a bar with you, he's so difficult to meet up with. engines are officially turned off, the stress of running in high gear for a month was making me batty.
still a gross peeling/flaking monster lizard girl. ugh.
i have been offered a job teaching grades 1 and 2. 25 classes per week, totaling 16 class hours, starting at 8am, ending at 4pm. they pay 7000rmb/month, my rent, and 500 in cab fees/month. as well as free lunch if i want it. m-th.
it's a good deal. but, 8am?
i don't even know if i CAN do it.
another job teaching 11-12yr olds, 2 classes a day, 4 days a week. 200rmb/class. so, 1600rmb/week for 6 hours of work. much better deal than the other one. but the school is much further away, they don't include rent or travel, and i'd have to drop one of the other classes i'm teaching.
but. 6200rmb for 32 hours of work. half as much as the other job.
i think i'll go with that. feel bad dropping out on the class i'm teaching, but i gotta think about what i need for my finances.
which sounds better? the first teaching job will be giving me about 2000 extra all told, after rent and travel and food, but even then, is it that much better than the second job? i mean...8am?
and, one more interview tomorrow at 10am. should get to bed. big long day tomorrow. blah.
also, the boat refugees are gone! woot!
i lied. one more thing. had frickin delicious veggie dinner with dom tonite. spent 75 rmb, but have a ton of leftovers. sooooo good. dom says the food actually tasted and felt like real meat. he was certain they were tricking us. that was cool.
is it just me or am i accidentally dating my friend? are 5 hour dinners with friends normal?
