While looking for Heider on Nanashi, Mike is ambushed by Hobbes. The tables are very quickly entirely upset when a naga finds them, and Mike does something rather surprising.

While on Nanashi, Neil picks up his new transportation through means of ambiguous legality. Now he's got a way to get there, but he still has to decide on just where it is he's headed.
