Working undercover was one of the Hardy boys' specialities, but after over three hours of no action, they were nearly ready to give up. ATAC had sent them down to peer in on an operation running out of the Chapterhouse. Guns that had been stolen from an evidence locker were back on the streets, and the peace keepers were looking for whoever was selling them.
Having decided to split up, Joe was on his own as he wandered the halls of the upper level, watching to see who was slipping into which private room, and just who they were with.
So far he had nothing, but that didn't mean he was ready to give up. If he could get anything, even just a first name, that would be enough to get a start.
He slipped around a corner when he heard someone climb the stairs, peeking around to see a flash of a large metal suitcase in someone's hand. It was the best lead he'd had all night, and he pressed himself flat against the wall as he waited for them to pick a room.
(Open to all. Is that your suitcase? Or maybe you're simply watching him watch someone else. ^_^!! I'm easy and up for anything.)
