"Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), formerly referred to as magnetic resonance tomography (MRT) or, in chemistry, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), is a non-invasive method used to render images of the inside of an object. It is primarily used in medical imaging to demonstrate pathological or other physiological alterations of living tissues."
That's what I get to have done tomorrow for my leg. Yay me. my leg's been nagging me for a few weeks now, and on Tuesday at football, I hurt it really bad. Went to the doctor on Wednesday morning, and she said, "How are you walking around?" Found out I have a "second degree strain of the biceps femoris" which means that half or more than half of the muscle is torn. Fun stuff. After the MRI I'll find out if I need surgery, rehab, etc, etc. Basically, I'm done running for 3-4 months (this injury is much more serious than the one suffered in the fall).
On a good note, had my BP taken at the doctor's office---122/80. "Damn near perfect" (is what the nurse said). So I'm pretty proud of that, since Dad has high blood pressure, I'd like to avoid all those pills for as long as possible; I take enough pills every day already, thanks.
The most important thing to remember about all of this. I caught the ball for the 1st down (full extension in the air, juke/spin on the plant, made it by a few yards) and I didn't die
