24: I'm Not Dead
2 months since my last post. Whew! What a crazy 8 weeks this summer has been!
Alright. Today I enter my mid-20s. I am 24 today. Kathy came up to visit me this past weekend. It was fabulous!
Time for the highs and lows, the blow by blows, and other wacky stuff that went down over the past 8 weeks:
+I have been working for Frito-Lay for 8 weeks. I have been an HR intern in their Frankfort, IN plant. Some stuff I have done so far includes coordinating a community outreach summit to improve workforce diversity and designing and implementing a new manager reference notebook. The product discount is pretty nice and they have a great benefits package for all of their employees.
-I don't get along with my boss. That's life I suppose.
+I have lost some weight. The heat here makes running hard, so I worked in more DDR. I haven't played DDR in a good year, but it was fun to get back into. I'm better at it than I have ever been.
+To celebrate two weeks on the job, I bought a Wii. I love this thing!
-I haven't been as prolific in the music department. It's just been a creative drought. I still have a few mashups done and a few in the pipeline. I expect to have a good EP's worth of tracks by September. Since MySpace started cracking down on the copyright violations I had to delete the 2GS profile.
+I start the move back to MI on July 27th. I'll be moving things up over those two weekends.
4 weeks and a corporate presentation to go!
I really am sorry I haven't been open and sociable. I hope y'all are having good summer. Stay cool. I miss you.
