(no subject)
Today was a brand new day for me... in a sense that I started to make the most of it, rather than wasting my time doing NOTHING (when I say nothing, I mean nothing). For instance, I spent about an hour or so reading the front page of the New York Times and Los Angeles Times. Then later during the day, I caught up in my summer reading... so I have 1/4 left of The Five People You Meet In Heaven, which is quite an amazing book because it makes you think about life and death). Oh yeah, and when I get my Precalculus and Chemistry review books that I've ordered, I plan to go over those daily to help prepare me for upcoming entrance exams at UCI... so basically I'm devoting this summer to studying and reviewing (in hopes of better suiting me for college life). I also started a diet today... hoping to at least lose 10 lbs. by the end of summer. I guess these are just things to keep me busy (in a productive sort of way). So for now, I'm just living and learning... trying to make the best of a screwed-up situation (that is, a life with no car)...
And since I hardly go out now... I spent tonight with Erica, Jaclyn, Diana T., Jorge, and Nelson. We watched Dumb and Dumber, which was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Just sitting there and watching the movie was great-- I loved every second of it. After the movie, I talked to Erica, Diana and Jaclyn about the latest scoop... people... life... college... and so forth. Overall, it was awesome.
Tonight was exactly what I needed.... I'm just glad I got to spend it with the people who mean a lot to me... <3
