By the time she had realized how much she had wrote in her letter to Alex, it had been too late to pick the lock on his door and get it back. So, while her talk with Erik had made her feel less alone, Lorna had gone back to avoiding the world. Tucking her tangle of green hair under a curly blond wig, she made her way out to the front gate. She stepped closer and touched the metal, trying to get a feel for it. The statue in Erik's office had been small, she had just managed to float it.

Pushing thoughts of her ex and that god damn letter out of her head, Lorna nodded to herself. She'd start small. Obviously she wasn't going to dismantle the gate but opening it from a distant should be something. Pushing her hair out of her face, she jogged back to a few feet away in the driveway.

"I can do this." she assured herself. Pushing herself was exactly what she needed right then. Holding up her hand, she focused her energy and the lock that kept the mansion isolated from the rest of the world. Picking locks the oldfashioned way had been a skill she had learned after running away from home. Being able to do it from far away would be very handy.
