Catherine didn't get much accomplished yesterday. While she had heard voices in and about the mansion, she hadn't come out of her room. She wasn't normally all that shy, but, when surrounded by people who spoke a different language than she was comfortable with, she couldn't help but feel a little timid around others. So, she had spent much of the night packing away her belongings and getting her stuff situated in her room.
The next day, though, when she awoke, she was full of energy and knew that she couldn't hide in her room for another moment. So, she tied her orange hair back into a ponytail, got dressed, and walked out of her room, intent upon figuring out this very large place.
Of course, she first had to make sure that she didn't get lost in this place! The only places that she had visited larger than this were while on tours in school. Her bedroom was larger than her parents' apartment, she was sure, and she had it to herself! She had actually shared a bedroom (but different beds) with her grandmother before she moved here. Their little apartment had only been two bedrooms, and they were lucky to have that much. This place, though...did they KNOW how lucky they were to have such a place?
She made her way down the stairs onto the first floor. She was trying her best not to just stand around, opened mouthed at everything, but it wasn't really working.
