blah blah blah

So, I made an appointment with my ENT today.

My left ear has been doing really strange things. Frankly, I'm convinced I have a brain tumor...but it's doubtful.
I've had frequent tinnitus in my  left ear. It also constantly feels like I need to pop my left ear, but it just wont do anything. So, the pressure behind my TM must be all messed up. Lately my ears have been popping repeatedly, but the left one never fully pops. Yesterday it kept trying to pop (probably about 20+ times in a couple of minutes). I had a really bad dizzy spell yesterday, which may or may not be related. Almost fell over...it was fun.

Oh yeah, and there is also the matter of my contralateral reflexes. My ipsilateral reflexes are awesome for both ears (sound is put into one ear, and the reflexes of that same ear are tested). However, my contralaterals aren't very good (sound in one ear, tests reflexes of opposite ear, because the signal crosses over to the other ear as well). This can be a sign of issues within the brainstem (such as lesions). I've been told that it probably isn't anything to worry about because it can be caused by equipment calibration, or there being a leak in the seal. However, I've had it done twice and both times my contralaterals have been a little off... I think it's generally a problem only if the reflexes are completely absent at about 115 dB SPL. Mine aren't absent, but they are considerably worse than my ipsilaterals, which is strange.

In other news, my brother managed to get kicked out of a concert last week. I think it's kind of funny. He got kicked out before one of his favorite bands (which he has been wanting to see for years) went on stage. *sigh*. That'll learn him...
