Our vultures are back!  They're hanging around and going in and out of the chicken coop, and we've caught them mating.

They are hilariously inept at mating, and tend to fall off a lot.  But I'm so happy they're back.

I am still alive, I've just been spending a lot of my time sleeping.  My medication is not keeping up with my thyroid decline, but I am assured by my doctor that it shouldn't continue much longer than a year to reach total zero, at which point, we'll try and find the right dosage ( Read more... )

The vulture chicks are starting to attempt walking by themselves.  They wobble forward on one foot, then flap their little arms frantically to stop themselves falling over.  Then they get tired out, and fall asleep.  It is adorable.

State of the Me first:  The mammogram and ultrasound were normal; I just have 42-year-old never-been-pregnant boobs, with "perhaps a cyst, perhaps a lymph node, but definitely benign" lumpy bits.  No word back on the thyroid lump, but my lab tests came back normal (which doesn't really mean anything, since "normal" is quite a large range, and may ( Read more... )
