funhouse mirror perspectives on life
so not one of the five things I had planned for this morning at work is going to happen... thus... livejournal.
Ran into a woman I went to grad school with yesterday. It was an interesting experience as I was feeling rather like i've missed the starting gun in life and can't catch up and she pointed out that i'm going to be taking the licensure exam only three months after she does (which is only the second time anyone from our class could really take it).
so... my point is that I frequently forget that life is often how you percieve it.
Oh sure I feek like I really ought to have gotten married, had a kid or two, bought a house in the burbs, and established a good five years into a career by now... but thats pretty stupid.
It is no suprise that as people we have a hard time seeing our own lives with clarity, I spend most of my work time helping people get perspective on their lives after all, but isn't it amazing how hard it is to take your own advice?
