It's been a lovely long weekend here, and I have managed to avoid doing any work-work, which was very nice. Instead of that I did the following:

- Saw X-3 with gryffin23. It was exactly what I expected it to be, in that the plot was flimsy, Hugh Jackman was lovely, I enjoyed the geekiness of the whole thing and the special effects (particularly a segment with the Golden Gate Bridge) was tremendous. The perfect film for a Friday night after treating ourselves to a burger and fries at Ed's Diner. I want to be Rogue when I grow up. Or at least have her hair and cool leather suit. Maybe not her mutation :)

- Got my hair cut and highlighted. Am all honey blonde now ready for the summer, which is nice.

- Built my new dining room table and mowed the lawn. I hadn't been anywhere near the lawn for nearly a month so I think I would have been better off with a scythe than a mower but I got it done in the end. Looking on the upside, it was very good exercise.

- Finalised a job application. Will tell you more about that should I get through the the interview stage.

- Spent the day at my friend Tory's yesterday, constructing a gas barbeque (very complicated), sorting out her spare room (very messy), drinking wine (lots), eating pizza (very tasy) and watching The Green Wing (very funny). All good fun.

In cat news Thursday has started sleeping on the end of my bed. This is excellent as she has been a little bit recitent up to now. Still haven't introduced them to the great outdoors though - a project for next weekend maybe.

Hope y'all are well. Am sending *hugs*
