Well, I'm making some progress with my girls I think. They will eat chicken out of my fingers now and purr when I stroke them, and sometimes just when I come in and talk to them which is nice. And they startle much less easily which is also gratifying. The next step is to try and pick them up which I think we can try this evening. Once they are used to that and happy about it then they can come out of their cage, which will be excellent.
And I think I may have named them :)
One is little, feisty, quick, forward and independent so she seems like a Thursday to me. The other is quieter, determined and resourceful so I think Violet will be a good name for her. Thursday and Violet. Works for me. *nods* Kittenspam is on my list of things to do today so look out for pics of newly named beasties later.
In other news it was my performance of The Sea Symphony yesterday and it just went brilliantly. There were one or two bits where it slightly got away from us but it is an astonishingly hard piece and most of it was just wonderful. Marion (my friend the conductor) was absolutely delighted about the whole thing - I told her I thought that it was a triumph for her, which really I think it was given that 90% of the choir can't read music. Oh it was just great. It's that sort of performance that makes all the work and rehearsals and learning and practice worthwhile. I am very tired today though, which explains why I am vegging out here on the sofa rather than making progress with my "things to do" list for today.
Le sigh. I will get up off the sofa shortly. Honestly ....
Have lovely days, y'all. *hugs*
