Some people were surprising in what they were able to bring out. And if they were surprising, I guess it would make sense that I am, as well. It just didn't take. In a way, I wish

Yes, it is a shout-out, and I can't really imagine you putting lots of exclamation points on things, but I guess that's what curses do. And I think it'd be cheesy either way, but the good sort of Specialty Pizza kind of cheesy.

Well, maybe just lots of different kinds of cheese.

How have you been settling in?

Oh, just fine- probably better than most people would when they get pulled here. So I'm all settled in. Maybe over-settled, a little. It's been a nice vacation, but I've never been too good at relaxing for too long.

Have you thought about ... doing things here?

Like investigative work? With quantum theory on the side, and no small amount of exploring in between?

The thought had crossed my mind.

I was hoping, maybe, working together might be nice.

But I think I'd like an excuse to be around you, Fred. And there are some ... things, I guess I should catch you up on.

Working together would definitely be nice. Not working together in a big, evil lawfirm would be extra nice.

Yeah, I get the feeling I have plenty of catching up to do. I always hated when I got too sick to go to school and then I'd be behind everybody. I worried I was never going to get caught up. When I was ten, I got a fever of 103, and I dreamt that I'd been gone for a whole semester and they'd kicked me out of school altogether. I ran away from home and shined shoes at the airport. There was a flying bear, too, but he's not really important to the story

Anyway, either of those things can be good excuses to be around each other. Not that I really think excuses are necessary.

There are some things that might be hard. And I wouldn't want to ... rush you.

I know. And if I was worried about that, I would tell you when we talked, but- Angel, I think I'll be okay.

It's been a nice vacation, I won't deny that, but- I think I'd like to handle things, before I worry too much about what they could be.
