I just finished my first French New Wave film: Breathless. While it reminds me a lot of Hemingway's "The Sun Also Rises", I don't think it's for me. As is often the case with foreign films, not a lot really goes on. Godard points out that a script should meerly be a setting upon which to express emotion and characters, which I can respect.
