Sweet Dreams

Last night I went to Piedmont Hospital for a sleep study. My cardiologist thinks that a sleeping disorder might be the reason that my heart can beat like normal folks. They give you a wonderful room on the order of an upscale Holiday Inn. A very nice nurse explained the whole procedure to me. They put sensors on my chest, legs, very close to my eyes, neck, and about a dozen on my head. In addition I had a belt (fairly snug) around my chest and abdomen, and something attached to one fore finger. I was instructed that I would be watched on camera the entire nice and listened to on the intercom (Can you think of a worse job than to watch some guy sleeping or listen to hear him sore?).
I slept pretty well considering - the only distasteful part was having to call the nurse anytime I wanted to piss. She had to come in and disconnect me.(If the nurse had been some hunky hairy bear, I probably wouldn't have minded). That happened twice and each time I woke up, I was dreading that early morning piss which has to be accomplished with the hardest woody I'll have all day. Fortunately, that didn't happen this morning - don't know whether it was the hospital or having to face a woman to unplug me that did it.
