brains, runny poo and Rocktober!!

So it has been a while since I have posted anything.  Neuro sort of took over my life.  The one thing I learned during that class is that I am not in fact going to be as smart as a brain surgeon when I grow up.

Though one of my insightful classmates pointed out that the problem with brain surgeons is: they spend their life learning more and more about less and less until they know everything about nothing.  This is an interesting philosophical point to ponder on.

Right anyhow we are deep into our gastrointestinal/metabolism/endocrine unit.  Who knew you could have 4 hours of lecture on diarrhea?

Oh and in other important news I spent the last two days desperately trying to get Rockies tickets.  After the disaster that was Monday, the grand master plan of the Rockies management seemed to amount to changing the countdown on the refresh page from 60seconds to 120seconds.  I suppose it worked a bit better that way.  Except for that whole part where I DIDNT get tickets.  sigh.  I went to a couple Rockies games this season and most excitingly to the wild card game which if you didn’t see it went dramatically into 13 innings and was won by the Rockies by the skin on their teeth (what a weird expression that is). I really wanted to go to a World Series game. I was hoping for this view Monday night for game 5:

Oh well I, along with a huge bunch of other bandwagon fans, will be watching the games from the comfort of our own couches.
Either way go Rockies!
