Verard was glad to see Tim arrive again, as he did for most of the mornings that they had resided outside the City of the Ancestors. Tim would bring supplies and visitors and collect things to take back. Ridley had returned to the city for the past few days, saying his injured ankle prevented him from doing the studies he wished to do here, so he was making the best use of his time in the city. This morning, like many mornings, Tim had joined his Alpha around the breakfast fire. He did not always sit upon the ground as he had that first morning, but pack did not always do so among the Athosians either.
Verard forced himself to bide his time until Ridley had excused himself to gather some things in his tent. When Ridley excused himself, Verard asked to speak to Tim, excited to see how his fellow pack would react to the gifts that Verard had gathered over the last few days, thoroughly cleaned, and carefully wrapped in bright cloth.
