Day 56, late morning; jumper left on the Mainland/Radio; Attn: Elizabeth [F]
Ridley slipped into the jumper and made his way to the front, carefully lowering himself into the pilot's seat and activating the comm, calling Atlantis. He had considered using the communications equipment left for that purpose in the expedition DRASH, but had felt too exposed, too likely to be overheard. He felt unsettled enough that when whoever it was on the radio in Atlantis asked where to direct his call, he'd asked to speak to Dr. Belic.
He used the check-in with Mitar to get his thoughts in order, relaxing a bit as he joked with the other man.
"That about covers it, I believe?" Mitar asked.
"Ai, it does," Ridley answered. "I'll talk to you tomorrow." He cut the connection and then reconnected to Control, taking a steadying breath. "Atlantis, before I go, I had something I needed to discuss with Doctor Weir on a secure line."
"Hold on," the person at Control answered. "Putting you through now."
He bit his lip, trying to compose exactly what he was going to say when Dr. Weir came online.
