Day 50, Mess Hall, late afternoon, Attn. Rodney, Dixon, anyone else [f]

Elizabeth sat back from her desk, stretching and and drawing a deep breath. Eating her lunch here, in her office meant that she'd gotten a lot done, but she was feeling in want of company now, as well as wanting a break. ( Fair enough. )

Rodney walked through the corridors and hallways, hands deep in the pockets of his trousers. He really needed some coffee, he thought. Hopefully the programme he was running back in the science lab was working and bringing the desired results. Even if it only increased the chances to bring their people back to 60 percent. It was better than now, 49 percent really weren't that much.

His features relaxed as he inhaled the scent of fresh coffee and looking up he caught Elizabeth heading towards the mess hall.

"Elizabeth," he greeted and raised his hand. "Hello."

"Rodney," she greeted him with a smile. "How are things going for you today?"

Rodney felt a languorous shiver running down his spine at the memory of making out with Carson during lunch break.

"Um, good, good so far," he gave back, hoping Elizabeth wouldn't notice his cheeks slowly turning pink as they walked over to the foodline. "Um, yourself?"

She smiled to see Rodney try to hide a blush. It was no secret that he and Carson had been... 'seeing' quite a lot of each other lately. She knew Rodney really wanted to be discreet, but the man just wasn't all that good at hiding some things. Honestly, she thought it was sweet.

"It's been a very productive day for me so far," she said, letting him off the hook. "I've been working hard and I believe I deserve a treat." She said this as her eye fell on a tray of heavily iced, fruit filled pastries of some sort, and she picked one up for herself.

"And this looks too good to pass up," she remarked, setting the pastry on her plate.

Rodney sighed as he watched her fill her plate, thinking of the chocolate cake, Carson had confiscated. "Yeah, not too bad," he said half heartedly.

Who knew what type of fruit Dixon had put in there? Didn't look too bad, but what if there was something citrus-ey in it? Resignated, he reached for a clean mug and poured himself some coffee.

"I actually only dropped by to get some coffee," he explained. "I'm working on increasing the chances to get our people back, but the programme is still running so I have some time."
