[day 48] night, Rodney's personal quarters, attn: Rodney, Radek (f)
There wasn't much talk as they walked back to Carson's quarters. He knew the Athosians had got his surprise ready for Rodney already, and he was looking forward to seeing Rodney's reaction, but Radek was so depressed and subdued that Carson was very worried.
He opened the door and let them in. Turning on the lights, Radek walked over to the couch and sat down. "I just want to sleep," he said. There was exhaustion and despair in his voice and Carson understood why.
"I've brought the Ativan for you," he said. "Don't worry, Radek. We'll take good care of you." He got Radek a glass of water for the pill and gave them to him. Radek settled down, pulling the blanket up over his shoulders, turning his back to the room.
"The surprise for you is in the bedroom," Carson said softly to Rodney, wanting to leave Radek in peace to fall asleep.
