[day 48] afternoon, infirmary, attn: Dr. Patel, Chuck, Airman Jackson, Perna [f]
After lunch (and his rather interesting dessert) Carson made his way back to the infirmary. His first stop on his afternoon rounds was Dr. Patel, who'd been brought in yesterday during the Wraith hunt, malnourished and dehydrated.
She'd been found after sixteen days of trying to survive on about a week's food, and hadn't been able to keep down the Athosian flatbread that one of the hunters had given her. Her stomach hadn't been in good enough shape. She was on IVs for rehydration and to help rebalance her body's systems, then fed broth and thin soup yesterday. She'd had somewhat more substantial food today.
"Good afternoon, Dr. Patel," Carson said, greeting the Indian scientist as she looked up. "And how are you feeling this afternoon?" He pulled out his PDA and checked on her electronic file before doing anything else.
