Day 11, Morning, Sheppard's Office - Attn Teyla
John woke early and alone, and had to drag himself out of bed. He took a jog around the perimeter first thing, trying to get back into an exercise routine. After a quick shower and a breakfast, he checked in with the control room. Nothing had happened overnight, and he headed for his office, deciding his conversation with Teyla would probably be best done in private. He stopped by the mess again to get drinks and snacks so he could be hospitable, and then sent a runner to tell Teyla he was ready whenever was convenient for her.
Hopefully things would go smoothly. John knew that it'd be best to be honest about his reservations, but he expected it would still take some tact to get out of this without hurting Teyla's feelings. He decided to sit in one of the chairs near the window rather than at the desk, since they were equals, and dragged another chair and the short table over to it where they could look out the window. That done, he settled down to wait, preparing the files he needed to show Teyla as he did.
