(no subject)
Can I just first say how utterly ANNOYING it is to be the only girl in the office right now out of 5 and have to answer the phone EVERY time it rings? It's really hard to get anything done at this rate, so I've pretty much given up. Barb is sick, Trish doesn't work on Fridays, Rosemary's at a therapist appointment, and Tracy's...somewhere. Who knows? But that just leaves me and the boss. I hate days like this.
And another thing about work: We had this staff meeting yesterday morning, and basically, it's the same BS we've been hearing for the past 3 years. We've got to start crosstraining so if anybody's out, someone else can sit in that chair and know exactly what to do. We've got to start learning more about these loan products, so we can help the loan officers understand them better, therefore we will get more loans. We've got to get some new banks signed up because we can't just be idle during this slow period. Blah-blah-blah. Nothing ever changes. Ever. So why are we suddenly going to be having staff meetings every week? POINTLESS!
I've finally talked Brandon and my mom & dad into going to the Renaissance Festival this year. Woo-hoo!! It's been years since I've been, and I'm really excited about it. That's coming up one Saturday this month, and some other Saturday, we're supposed to be planning up a big family trip to go see my dad's family in South Carolina. I really enjoy those trips, but Brandon's dreading it like the plague. lol!
And in sad news, Maytag has apparently run away from his new owners. :( :( :( :(
Do you know how bad this makes me feel? He probably thinks we abandoned him, which we did in a way. When I found out, I cried for hours. I just keep thinking about him out there all alone, with no claws to defend himself. I wish I'd come home one evening and he would be on my doorstep. I miss him terribly!
