Summary: There are many ways to try to ground a sorceress's power, but few are effective for long.

She remembers very little of what happened after the bright shining rush of power seared through her mind and wormed its way down into her heart, suffusing her entire body with that glittering brightness that leapt within her, demanding that she soar with it and revel in it. She vaguely recalls that there were fights that seemed far away about what to do with her now that she was one of those. Mostly she remembers the frozen clasp of bracelets at her wrists and a choker-style necklace at her throat and that the ice burned through the magic, drawing it away from her and grounding her power, leaving her cold and stiff. It grounded all of her joy, too, until the day the magic gathered and flared outward, shattering the icy jewelry (and everything around her) and leaving her free, but alone.

She wishes people had understood that a knight grounds her better than any bits of metal concocted by Odine, and so she works to teach them so no other child will suffer as she did.
