Teyla smiled shyly, stepping into the room, watching Carson as if she were trying to convince herself to go through with this. She spread her hands, though whether in supplication or in a here I am! manner she was unsure.

"I hope I am not intruding?" she asked, noting the work laid out on the various surfaces.

Her smile tightened slightly, as she sat down, pondering his words.

"Yes, in a manner of speaking. I have not seen you in quite some time. ...My being away on New Athos so frequently as of late is to blame, I am certain."

Her smile widens, and she nods again. "You would not be lying, since you are researching a theory, in a manner of speaking."

She reaches out to put a hand on his arm gratefully. "Thank you, Carson. For..." for listening? For not judging? For going along with this? "...for everything."

She stands, prepared to go and make good on his suggestion on a good night's sleep.
