2006 Burbank Convention (Sunday)
For this year's Burbank convention, I only went to Sunday, which featured David Hewlett and his sister, Kate Hewlett (McKay and Mrs. Miller), Torri Higginson, and Jason Momoa.
David Hewlett and Kate Hewlett
The first guests presented for the day were David and Kate Hewlett. Before the Hewletts were brought out there was a music video about McKay show, and David noted that everyone else has cool action footage, but for McKay you just either see me talking or passing out. After both were situated in their seats, David asked for any question. Since no one had gone up to the microphones for questions yet, David teased his sister by saying, "Let's talk about Kate!" Then he said something about making Kate sing, which he quickly added, "I promise aside from seeing me naked. I will never sing."
There was a question for David to tell some embarrassing stories about Kate. Here David grinned and tried to pick a story and talked about when he was about fourteen and hanging out down in the basement with his friends "listening to REO Speedwagon". When Kate, 5 years old at the time, came down to "entertain" his friends in her PJs. She proceeded to the "moonwalk" but while she did the moonwalk she didn't realize that she was moonwalking into the chip dip. So when she moonwalked into the chip dip, David imitated the cry Kate made before she ran upstairs.
The next question was if Sheppard would ever be nice to McKay and if he will ever call him "John"? David said that the Sheppard and McKay banter and relationship is kind of like "Moonlighting" that you don't ever want the tension between the characters to end besides, McKay is like "C-3PO of space", and Sheppard has to put up with him talking. Also he later realized that "C-3PO is in space" so that reference didn't make sense. He also said that maybe Sheppard hasn't forgiven him for blowing up a solar system. David also said that McKay may have called Sheppard "John" unintentionally, (But I haven't seen it on screen yet. So either those haven't aired or they haven't made the cut.)
The next person asked who is smarter between David and Kate? David it's obvious, and reminded us about the "Chip dip story" he just told. David also mentioned that he had 5 sisters and he teased and said 2 of them were "fake" since they were only his stepsisters. Then Kate made a comment to which David said to "keep her mic off."
Someone then asked what it was like to have two actors in the family? David said that he and Kate did not get into to acting at the same time. David was, in fact, the first to pursue acting, and Kate followed afterwards. Kate added that David had it harder in becoming an actor since their father, a doctor, didn't like it. David then added that "Dad heard it doesn't make money." Then Kate said that David actually made her life miserable when she said she wanted to be an actor. Because he didn't want her to "get the spotlight" he joked. In actually, he knew how hard it was to be an actor and he didn't want Kate to go through what he was going through so he tried to talk her out of it. Instead Kate went to theater school and loved it to David's dismay. Then David talked about how it is very difficult being an actor and you have to love it because sometimes you feel that you are doing all this work and not getting anything out of it. He also talked about how his parents were the good and bad cop, where his father kept telling him no to acting, while his mother was the supportive one.
Kate also said that she took David's advice to do other things along with acting, which she likes to write. This is when David sarcastically added, "Yeah, that's a good job." Then she talked about her present projects. She recently wrote a play and there was another play she wrote and directed, which she said was a fun experience but it was hard because she would "hear" the character voices a certain way and you can't tell the actors what to do. When she mentioned "hearing" voices, David added, "Kate hears a lot of voices." Then David said, "Some of the best conversations" he's had with Kate is when she's sleeping. Apparently, Kate sleepwalks and talks. David talked about how he would have great in-depth discussions with Kate and the next moment she was conked out. Then he'd realize that she was sleeping and wouldn't ever remember the conversation taking place.
Then there was an odd question about if David got show with an arrow again could the questioner do it? David responses was, "Is that a question? Isn't that a threat?! Security!"
Next the question of practical jokes in the family and on set was asked. Kate said the only prank she could really remember was when David put a plastic fried egg on her plate in Easter, and since she loved her food she was determined to eat it, but she thought that prank was very funny.
On set, David said he was usually too busy memorizing his pages and pages line to do many pranks, but Joe had lots of time. David then mentioned how there was shooting out in the woods for a couple days and he wondered why were the bags they were carrying so heavy, and why were they so tired. After 3 days, Joe asked him how he was feeling, and he said he was so tired. Joe just smiled and said yeah that's because "I put a boulder in your bag".
Then there was a tangent mention about a convention attendee having "Paul McGillion's hair" and David said something about his hair disappearing and that he'd like to believe that it's his "head is getting bigger" instead of him losing hair.
David then went back to talk about pranks when they were children. He said his father was very serious so they didn't really do many pranks, but they did tend to pick on his sister Jenny since she was the favorite because "she almost died". This was when David made a face and everyone laughed. Anyway he said that they mostly picked on Jenny and Kate just followed him around like a puppy. One time when he was making lemonade for everyone he made special lemonade for Jenny; it was made with white vinegar. So after one sip, Jenny made a face and said, "Eww". Then his father chastised her for being a picky and took the glass of vinegar lemonade and drank the whole glass... At this point, David said he sitting at the table "getting smaller and smaller", and Kate added, "and balder."
There was a question about how long it took David to do "the walk" when Cadman was in McKay's head in "Duet". David said, "The problem was getting rid of the walk." The talked about how Jaime Ray Newman was stay on set and do her lines off camera, and he would always make fun of her. And the walk was an exaggerated version of her "sexy walk", which he noticed her doing when she walked by a couple marines once. He said it wasn't hard to do "the walk" at all. He had to "Just lose any kind of ego". Then he said, "The hard part was living it down later."
The next question was about how it felt to kiss Paul McGillion? David said that he thought it was a joke at first, since Martin Gero came up to him and said, "You're going to kiss Paul!" Then he got the script and realized it wasn't a joke. He said, "The problem with kissing Paul was Paul." Because Paul was mortified and when he kissed him it was like kissing an "electric fish" where Paul would spaz. Then he joked by saying, "Nothing says no like mace." He then talked about how Martin Gero was very good and writing these types of things where he's doing things that distract people, but also throws in little surprises here and there. At this point, Kate pointed out to David that the "arrow guy" was back to ask another question.
This time the "arrow guy" didn't attempt to ask to shoot David, but asked what episode that he enjoyed filming and what was the worse. David said, he liked "McKay and Mrs. Miller" it was the best and worse for him, because he was disappointed, he was hoping there would be a hot actress playing his sister. Kate said that she probably had more fun, because David had to play the role of two McKays so he was busier. Next David talked about using the motion camera, which he described to be like an R2-D2 camera. He talked about how he would have to get to his marks exactly or he would be a "flat actor" but unfortunately, no one told him that either when he was filming with it. Then he talked about Kate arrived at midnight she had to do a costume fitting at 5am, and he said she was a bitch! Kate clarified and said that she was actually quite happy from the lack of sleep. Then she talked about how her favorite episode was "Grace Under Pressure" because she liked the interactions he had with Amanda Tapping. David then complimented Amanda by saying that there are people who are beautiful and there are those who shine and Amanda was one of those people, along with his girlfriend Jane.
He then talked about when he first went into SG-1 he was terrified, because he went into the show not knowing much of the series especially the terminology, and Kate talked about the "technobabble" was confusing. David then mentioned that, he used the term technobabble with Brad Wright once and Brad Wright corrected him by saying, "It's not technobabble. It's gold!"
This is when David mention Michael Beach, an actor that used to be on ER, who is in a future episode (I'm assuming an episode in the second half of Season 3.) having 4 pages of lines and David said if he needed any advice he could help, since he was used to getting 4 pages of lines. But instead, David had a couple lines and he kept messing up, while Michael Beach successfully rattled off his 4 pages after a couple takes and he was done.
The following question was if David had any input in the writing, and if the writers were influence by the book "Chariot to the Gods". David said he had no idea about he "Chariot of the Gods" character, and on the input front, he didn't feel that he need to have much input, the only time he added any input is if some of the lines did not sound like McKay and he would make suggestions here and there. But he said he did not have much to say.
The next question was if David did his own stunts, to which he said he "leaves it to people who like falling down." But he likes doing the slapstick stuff like tripping and arrows in the ass. This was when David realized his last comment didn't sound right and said… I can see it now "Hewlett loves arrows in the ass!" "Kate afraid of projections of naked Dave!" (The second "headline" occurred when there was an interruption of a trailer clip of "A Dog's Breakfast" being show and Kate immediately said, "I don't want it projected on me!" which referred to a shot of David naked in a shower. David then finished off the question by saying that if McKay had a P-90 the marines would "get the hell out of there." So basically, "when McKay has a gun, everyone runs."
The next question was about McKay's fear of citrus. David then talked about how in "The Pegasus Project", Ben Browder added the lemon moment. He said that "Ben attacked me with a lemon on set!" He basically said that reaction he had in the scene was him trying not to laugh. He also talked about how in the conference room scene I "Pegasus Project" he was befuddled by the blue folders that were on the table. Because Atlantis was a "paperless society" and the folders were just sitting in front of him and he didn't know what to do. So while he was doing his lines, Ben just reached over and started flipping through the folder in front of him, distracting him. He said that Ben was always trying to distract people. He also talked about how Ben did his homework and watched the entire Stargate series in 2 weeks which was scary.
The last question was who talked faster McKay or Daniel? David then quickly said, "Don't you mean who looks better doing it?" and grinned. Then he hung his head down and said, Daniel. Then he talked about how he would sometimes whine and complain that he had "So many lines." Then someone would say, did you see the SG-1 script? And they hand it to him and he's see the name "Daniel Jackson" on the top page and it would go on for 10 pages. Then he said that it sucked because all he did was talk and Daniel wasn't doing anything he was just sitting there saying stuff. So poor Daniel.
Torri Higginson
After a break, it was Torri Higginson's turn and she came on stage with her dog Sedge. She talked about how she wanted Sedge to become an actor and she could sit back and be her "dog person". She also talked about Sedge is about 5 years old. She said how they found Sedge in the street and they presumed she was about a year old when she was found. There was some mention about bring Sedge to Atlantis and Torri said she would love to, because she said Simon took care of Sedge before, but because he had really bad hair Elizabeth's mum is now taking care of Sedge. Then she said, "A mullet in 2005? What's u with that?" in reference to Simon's hair in "Intruder". Then she said Sedge could be the dog to warn Elizabeth that if "Shep's in trouble? Shep's trapped in a well?" Then someone in the audience said that "Sedge could chase McKay's cat!" And Torri smiled and said, she would and probably catch it too.
A question that was asked was about working with Richard Dean Anderson. She teased and said it was horrible and she'd always have to watch her back. But she said it was good to work with him, and she told a little anecdote where she would use the term "bugger me" whenever she messed up not realizing what it meant in North American context. So onetime she did say that, RDA grabbed her and threw her against the wall. She said that her face was read for the next three days.
The next question was of how did she get to be part of the Atlantis project? Torri said that she moved to Los Angeles on September 10, 2001, which was a very strange time to be moving into the United States since September 11 occurred the next day. She said that because of September 11, it was very hard to get a job and an agent. So for the first year she didn't really have a job. Then finally got an agent and she got an audition for Atlantis. She was fortunate since it was her first and only audition in Los Angeles. She also said that when she got the job she had no idea where it was filmed, so when she got the part she realized she had to go back up to Canada to do the show.
Torri was then asked what is her favorite thing to do on Atlantis as Doctor Weir? Torri's answer was that she loves how she gets paid to play, and she when ever she's having a bad day, she just remembers that she's getting paid to play and she starts to feel better. Next question was if Weir would go off-world. Torri said that Weir has gone off world a couple times, but she said the boys are probably scared of her with a gun.
Then she was asked how she felt to play a powerful role. Torri said it was great to play a strong role and she's lucky to be in a position to be able to play a character that so many young women look up to.
She was then asked about some projects she was working on during the hiatus. Torri mentioned having a part in "Yumi in Love", and she was in 4 short films and directed a short film, and right now she is working on writing on a feature script that she's been working on for 2 years and she's hoping to get that done.
The question of romance was brought up, and Torri said that she thinks that Elizabeth should get some "nookie". Even though the questioner pleaded to Torri to say Sheppard, Torri only smiled and said Elizabeth might have some commitment issues since she did leave Simon to go another galaxy. Also if she got with Sheppard that would mean having a commitment... but she won't deny having fantasies… Then Torri went off to list Daniel and Mitchell as possible interests. Then she mentioned that the Wraith are hot in their own way.
Next question was which did was best commanding the SGC or Atlantis? She said that the answer between Torri and Elizabeth would be different. Elizabeth would pick Atlantis since that was a place she commanded, it was her expedition. While when Torri worked on SG-1 she had a lot of fun, and she didn't have to wear a red shirt everyday.
There was a question about if she had any input in writing. She talked about how there were times she felt that there were some decisions Elizabeth made in "Michael" that felt like a sudden leap, but usually after everything is done she would understand why the writers did what they did. Because there are certain times where people react a certain why when someone close to them is in danger, so sometimes the sudden leaps in character decisions make sense.
Then there was a tangent of "Dogs in Space". I don't remember how that came about, but later there was mention of puppies. But Torri said that Sedge was "broken". Because having pet's "fixed" didn't makes sense. Because they weren't fixed, they were broken now.
Crossovers were another question asked. Torri thinks it would be great to have crossovers because there are so much that overlaps between the two Stargate shows and it would be fun to "mix up the mix". Then she quickly added that she didn't know anything about crossovers.
She was then asked about the if the fight between the guards were her or a stuntwoman in "The Long Goodbye". Torri proudly said it was her. At first she worried about training for it since she's never trained for a fight before and Bambam, the stunt coordinator, assured her they had 3 months to train, but filming was moved up and they ended up only having a couple weeks to learn everything. She remembered doing the scene 5 or 6 times and she got it and they didn't need to use the stuntwoman.
Later when Torri was asked which her favorite episode was, she said that "The Long Goodbye" was fun because it was fun to play a different character and to have the guns, but she admitted that the first time she shot the P-90 she cried and freaked out because it was so powerful. Another episode that she liked was "Irresistible", again because it was a nice to play a different role. Also she said she tried to do some Sigourney Weaver imitations from "Galaxy Quest". She said in the episode her bra as so padded and throughout the episode she was lowering and lowering the zipper on her shirt. "The Real World" was also another episode she like even thought she was acting by herself for most of it, but she was able to work with RDA and Sedge so she was happy.
Torri was then asked what kind of script she would write for Atlantis. Torri tried to think of an answer and she admitted that "I don't know if I can answer it appropriately." So she made up an answer that said they find a planet that is full of cats and dog! Then she said maybe episode where Elizabeth is able to use her negotiating skills more and made up a genre of a political thriller of Sci-fi with some romance thrown in.
Next Torri was asked if she could be any character she could be who would she be? Torri's bascially went through the cast of Atlantis and said that McKay has too many lines. Joe has too much gel in his hair, so your hands would be sticky. For Teyla she'd have to do sit ups everyday and wear midriffs and Torri said she wasn't going to do that. So that left Ronon. Then she said being Ronon is fun, so she picked Ronon.
She later asked of the funny things on set, and since she had to think of one on the spot all she could say was "David Hewlett walking on and I laughed and laughed." She also said that David Hewlett is funny when he's hungry too.
Torri was also asked to share her most embarrassing moment, but she said that there are children in the audience so she wasn't sharing. Then an audience member pointed that that they did see the clip where David Hewlett was practically naked, so it wouldn't matter if she shared her story. Torri said, "I'm sorry! That would be years of Therapy!"
That’s how she evaded that question and moved on to working with Stephan King on "Storm of the Century". She talked about meeting Stephan King and how he was really nice, but he had these really thick glasses that made his eyes look small, but she felt rude to stare so she would look away, but if you looked away she felt rude for not looking at him. She then talked about how in one scene where her character was lost in the show screaming for help, during the take she would be breathing in fake snow which was kind of toxic. So after each take, she would have to throw up, that day was a long eight hours, but she made it and had fun in that experience aside from throwing up. She also said they wre able to go to Maine for a month. She also talked about doing "Autopsy Room 4" where she was a doctor doing an autopsy of a man who was not dead, but had the all the symptoms of a dead person. Since she wasn't a huge horror fan was freaked by that and didn't think she needed to do anymore horror films.
Then Torri was asked what character she would like to see crossover into Atlantis. She said that she was a bit biased since she's only really worked with Jack and Daniel. Also having Daniel over in Atlantis would make sense. But she said that any of the characters would be fun to have on, because the cast of each show has a different energy. She said that SG-1 had more fun. And the SGA cast were more old and grumpy and in bed by 9pm. So she said Daniel, Chris Judge, and Vala would help give the more energy.
There was a question about working with Robert Davi (Commander Acastus Koyla), and Torri said that Robert had a foreboding character and some people were freaked out by him. She also she he liked to find everyone's buttons and push them.
Then a little girl asked Torri what was her favorite dessert. Torri said that was the best question and that her favorite dessert was Tiramisu and banana split.
Next question was who was more of a pain O'Neill or Sheppard? Torri immediately said Sheppard, and elaborated that Sheppard always puts her in trouble and O'Neill tends to get her out of trouble.
Then Torri was asked what scenes she liked to do with each cast member. Torri talked how she and Rachel had been fighting for the last three years to scenes together, and it finally happens in "Sunday". She was glad that they finally got to be "Girlie" and hoped that they didn't make it too girlie, but the director said it was okay, so she hoped the producers liked it too. Torri also said she liked the wrap up scenes at the end with Joe in the balcony or her office. They were nice scenes to show John and Elizabeth taking a breath from everything going on in Atlantis. As for scenes with David Hewlett, she said her favorite was when David had 3 pages of dialogue and she had one word.
Then there was a question whether there was a chance Michael would ever become a regular. Torri said that having Michael around would be dangerous because he has switched alliances also the Earthlings have abused and betrayed him so having him around would be very dangerous.
She was then asked about her studies in England, to which she said were "good times." Torri said she went to England to learn to be a voice acting coach. Her experience there inspired to go back to school and be an actor, since she had always regretted being a high school drop out. So she studied at the London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she received her Bachelor of Arts and received her high school degree as well. She also mentioned that a lot of the guys in her glass at Guildhall, such as Ewan McGregor and Daniel Criag, seemed to be all doing really well.
Then someone asked about the about the cliffhanger on "The Return - Part I" and if that would effect Atlantis's relationship with Earth. At first Torri was stalling by saying they wrapped shooting in October 27, and she moved 3 times and she just finished her taxes, so she didn't remember. But eventually she remembered an answer and said there was a possibility that the relationship between Earth and Atlantis will be a bit different and will be seen in later episode in the second half of season 3.
The last question was about challenges Torri had working on Atlantis. Torri teased by saying working with David Hewlett. Then she answered the question by saying that it was probably dealing with Weir's "stiff upper lip", which she figured where it was hard for the writers to find moments for Weir to be a woman but not weak at the same time. So that is something she constantly feels is a challenge for her.
During the whole panel, Sedge was lying on the ground next to her chair, and when the Creation people came to take Torri backstage, Sedge started barking at here which was quite amusing to everyone.
Jason Momoa
The last guest of the day was Jason Momoa. He came on stage with a large cup of coffee. He was still shy and still getting used to speaking in front of large crowds. The first question Jason got was about his hair. He said that it was his own hair and it was sewn together to keep it in place.
The next question about how he got the role of Ronon Dex. Jason said that he had auditioned for the role of Aiden Ford previously, but then he had dreadlocks as well and he wasn't going to shave them off so that was not going to work. So when he finished filming "North Shore", someone in casting remembered him because of the dreadlocks and they called him in for an audition. Jason said that the day before he was staying a friend's house and apparently there was a gas leak and he was essentially in a small room with a gas leak for 8 hours. He wasn't sure how they were still alive, but eventually someone found out and they had to be sure not to turn on any lights and call the police. But anyway he went into the audition dead tired. He said that all that gas did take the edge off the audition because after he did the audition the first time, they called him back in to do it again because they couldn't understand a word he said. Then Jason joked that if you want to prepare for an audition sniff the stove to take the edge off.
Then Jason was asked what his favorite part about playing Ronon. Jason said it was the stunts, and that he was getting paid to beat people up. Then someone asked why Ronon didn't get to use the other big Earth guns, and Jason simply said, it was because those guns all suck. But the only problem was when he was filming his gun didn't shoot any blanks like the other guns would, so he would make is own shooting sound effects, and the directors would keep telling him to stop.
Jason was then asked if he was a fan of Sci-fi, and he said that he was a fan of it in movies, since he would go to the theater to watch movies, but he didn't watch TV and he still didn't own a TV. He also said he was a Star Wars fan, and that, "I'm definitively Chewbacca."
The next question was about "Sateda". Jason said that it was about 13 says of shooting and that they "worked me to the bone. I was hurting." He even said he still has bruises on his ass from the beating he got making "Sateda". He also talked about filming the scene where he walked down a corridor and threw a grenade backwards, he said he was in a boiler room of this place and he said the place was haunted and creepy. Anyway he was walking through this very small corridor and 60 gallons of propane was in the back just waiting for the cue to be set off. Jason said he was terrified of getting burned. Jason then talked about how he wanted to see Ronon's past, and it was nice to have an episode where he was depending on everyone else to save him, since Ronon is such an independent guy it was a nice change. Later someone asked if there would be any exploration about the Satedan culture, Jason said he did not know, but it would be nice to see the Satedan culture.
Then Jason was asked which was better Stargate or Baywatch? Jason said that if it wasn't for Baywatch he wouldn't have gotten Stargate. At the time he was folding t-shirts at a store and he asked himself, "fold t-shirts or hang out with hot chicks all day?" He also said that he loves playing Ronon because it is not him. And he said that "I don't kill people. I'm nice, and I smile." Then Jason flashed everyone a smile.
Jason was asked who is favorite actor to act was. He said Cary Tagawa. Then he talked about how he liked to work with David Hewlett because with David Hewlett you are always laughing. And he talked about how all the guys would just beat Rachel down because she was the only girl.
Later some asked what Ronon thought of the Ancients. Jason simply said that Ronon doesn't trust the Ancients and that they were too smart for him anyways.
Then a boy asked Jason what his favorite good that made him grow so tall? Jason said Apple pie and he sad he had milk and was corn-fed and ate a lot of meat.
The next question was what character in Stargate would he be if he could be anyone since Torri chose to be Ronon. Jason said he would want to be Ronon. But if he had to chose someone else. He would choose to be Teal'c.
Then he was asked who would win in a fight him or Chris Judge. Of course, Jason said, "me!" But he said if it was in the show, Teal'c would probably win because he was on Stargate longer and it would be written that way.
Jason was then asked why he had his hair up in dreadlocks. He said had put his up in dreads for a movie where he played a hobo because he was getting tired of playing the "pretty boy". He also said that there were some tribes in Hawaii that the chiefs had dreads, and that he had always wanted to get dreads anyways so he left them. Then he said, "That there were enough pretty boys like Joe Flanigan and David Hewlett already. Those guys are more handsome than me."
Next he said that he wishes that Teal'c and Ronon would be stuck somewhere and they would both just raise hell and just beat each other up. Then someone asked how tall he was. He said he was 6'4", so he was taller than Chris Judge, but Judge was wider than him in a good way.
Then someone asked what he liked to do on his free time. He said that since both his parents are artists is like doing art and doing anything creative, which also included writing. He also loves to go rock climbing and traveling. At the moment, he has been learning how to play some blues on the guitar in his spare time.
There was a question about the other guns that Ronon used in "Sateda" where he attacks several Wraiths in a small corridor. Jason that was a pretty scary scene since he had two revolvers and he had to throw himself across the entry shoot two people than fall on his back and put the gun at the third attacker, but since the camera man was there he had to be sure not to hit the camera man. Then in the same seen he later had to throw a triple barrel shotgun that weighed about 25lbs, and he only had two chances to shoot the scene. So he said that his knees were hurting badly after that scene was done.
When he was asked about stunts, Jason said he did his own work. His stuntman did flying and hitting things. He said that his stuntman took a beating, such as when he had to throw his back against the telephone pole, the first time he did it they camera wasn't ready, so they he had to throw his back against the telephone pole twice. Then when he was supposed to be thrown against door the wires ended up wound around his arm cutting into his arm. So Jason thanked his stuntman by drinking a lot. Then when asked if he was in any fights before, he said he had only been in bar fights.
He was then asked about the tattoo on Ronon's neck, which is basically Ronon's rank as a "Specialist", while Kel from "Trinity" also has a tattoo with more marks. Then Jason said that he had full input on Ronon's costumes. He said that he loved being in the costuming department and creating things for Ronon. He also said that the bracelets and vest Ronon were his designs, because he figured that since Ronon was out on the run, he would make things like these to survive on. He was also trying to get Ronon a cool flak jacket that that has all kinds of pockets where he can hide all his knives and weapons. Jason also talked about how he liked to make his own jewelry as another creative outlet for himself. Then he said they are "my bling bling… only it's not. It's just bones and dirty."
Next someone asked how many knives Ronon had in his hair. He said 36, one in each dread. Then he was asked about skateboarding with Joe. He talked about how he and Joe were always skateboarding on set because they were too lazy to walk anywhere. He also said that Joe's age he shouldn't be doing things like this, but one day they went to a skating rink, where they shouldn't have been going in the first place, where the rink was basically 4 bowls. He said that Joe was all decked out in his knee pads, arm pads, helmet, and etc. and "looked like a geek", while Jason only had t-shirt and jeans on. He said that Joe was so happy when they were at the rink and "he looked like a geek but he was amazing." Then Jason said, "Joe is really good, but don't tell him. I said that. But tell him I said he was a geek."
Then Jason talked about working with Paul McGillion, and he said that when they were filming "Runner" Paul would keep telling him, "look at me. Look at me. Look at me." until he turned around and looked at him. Jason said that, "Paul would just stare at me with is blue eyes. It was creepy and it felt like he touched me in the wrong place." So after "Look at me" he would turn and look at Paul. Paul would then just stare at him in silence then go "Thank you." and walk away. Someone tend asked about pranks on set. Jason said that he just poop in everyone's trailer and stink them up.
Then he talked about how he has seen the "Wrath of David", where Hewlett has the stare that is quite scary, and he had witness the stare once when he accidentally hit David in the nuts one time.
