This is sort of a public service announcement and request. I hope you all take the time to read and consider it.
One of the local radio stations in Atlanta is conducting a Thanksgiving Thank You letter drive for the 375,000 troops currently stationed outside the US. Regardless of your feelings about our military actions, I think most people would agree that supporting the troops is an independant cause.
Being stationed so far away from friends and family is undoubtedly always hard. But during the holidays, it's certainly more difficult. It never hurts, if you have the time, to send a letter of appreciation.
There are guidelines as to how to write and submit a letter and the deadline is actually this Friday so this is a last minute plea.
