that plane story is crazy!! although, everyone keeps talking about the response time, but i cant help but think of it this way: a passenger plane went into the river. outside of NY. who wouldnt notice that? i mean it's not like a backstreet mugging...that is a big thing to go down...its just amazing that he (the pilot) was who he was!

true enough, but when has anything involving emergency workers in large cities ever been resolved in 5 minutes. I agree its not just the response time. I think it's just that everything worked as perfectly as it could in the situation.
