Graduation day and night at MHC was just so awesome! Got there at 11:30 and met up with Dana and Devin. We were just in time to watch the seniors get their diplomas (so we missed all the inspirational slash boring speeches). Unfortunatley we missed our friend Stephanie, whose last name starts with A, but we saw everyone from then on. Our friend Chelsea snuck us into the amphitheater (luckily the weather was good so it was oudside!) and we found seats in the very back row. Every time we cheered for one of our friends, the people around us would be startled cuz we were just so loud! I love us. We are the best and loudest team ever. (Like at the sports banquet, when our friend Shannon who does track, got an award for field hockey, which she does in the fall, we were all cheering waaaaaay louder than the field hockey team!) And when we did the "car alarm" for Malai, people around us were kind of chuckling hehe we're funny.
So then... Devin, Chelsea, Jessamyn and I had lunch at Blanchard (last vineyard on a spinach wrap until september!). Then we walked to the old track which has been ripped up and is just a dirt circle, which is probably better quality than our old track surface haha. Took some pictures of it, walked over to where the new track is being built, then we went up to the equestrian center to see Chelsea's horse Scipio Africanus (aka Skip). He's a beautiful HUGE clidesdale and we love him. His girlfriend, Easter, is in the stall next to him, and we're in love.
Then Devin and I had dinner at Friendlies which was just so funny. We were laughing at the ridiculous pictures they have on the walls of icecream and food peaking out from behind houses and trees and stuff, and I was muttering something about "them being like... peek-a-boo" and it was just hilarious and I cried so much from laughing!
Sooo then back to campus, we took a great nap in shannon's apartment until the party started! So the seniors (Malai, Steph, Gretch, Andi, Liz, Shannon), Chelsea, Charisse and JEssamyn showed up and we just hung around laughing at Gretchen impersonating her family, and then the seniors (and chelsea) playing with the hula hoop.. then we went outside etc. Then we desided to walk to the track, which is a tradition at every party.
So we didn't get far when we saw a bunch of golf carts and apparently, when you use your mailbox key, THEY WORK! Sooooooo eight of us piled into a four person cart, with Charisse (who is wasted) sitting on Gretchen's lap driving... How did we not flip over and die? We'll never know.... But at one point, Charisse took a turn, and Gretchen just went flying off the cart (even though Charisse was sitting on her... Then we split into two carts, Liz driving one and me driving the other, and drove around some more. It was just so much fun. We drove through the gigantic tent that they had set up for the reception after graduation, and ended up parking the two carts in a little tent off to the side hahahaha.
Then we "broke in" to Clapp Labs (aka someone swiped their card and the door opened, but we like the think we are more badass) to go to the bathroom. THen we continued towards the track. We stopped for a few minutes to climb a tree. At this point Rach shows up! Then "broke in" to Kendall (sports complex). In the field house where the indoor track is, they set up chairs and a stage in case it rains and graduation has to be inside. So of course it is STILL SET UP! SOOOOOOOOOO I played Fred McGinness (who is my advisor yay! and announced the names at graduation this year) and Devin played JoJo, aka Joanne Creighton our president who hands the seniors their diplomas and we HELD ANOTHER GRADUATION for the four seniors who were still with us (Gretch, Andi, Rachel, and Shannon). It was just so awesome!
Then we left. We never made it up to the track for one last naked run, (which is never actually naked but, again, we pretend we're that badass) We found a post that said "no vehicles" that the put on the walkways, and we took it and were trying to find a cool place to put it. I almost put it in a tree, but then we put it on top of some beverage truck. I dunno, we are ridiculous. Then Charisse and Devin found an office chair and Devin pushed Charisse down a hill. Again, how did they not die? Then they put the chair on top of a trash can... hahahaha
Devin and I were going to crash at Shannon's on her couches, but we found a double in Wilder Hall that was open. THere were still sheets on the beds from reunions so we just flipped one over and used it and blankets. The room was soooo nice. Like, one of the nicest doubles I've seen. Huge, hardwood floors of course cuz its an old dorm, 3 windows, and giant walk in closets! It makes me wish I had had better housing lottery luck in the past to get a room like that!
So we're going to sleep and it's about 4 or so, and we've been quiet for a few minutes, and all of a sudden Devin cracks up, so I start cracking up too and ask what's funny? and she goes "I'm still DRUNK!" HAHAHAHHA We had taken showers, and organized the room and everything and she had appeared perfectly sober and I guess thought she was also, but apparently not! After laying down she realized she was still drunk! surprise!! I loved it! Anyways, at 7:30 in the morning some lady walks in to the room and I sat up and she goes "oh I'm sorry, they told me you had already left!" like, what? Go away old woman... weird.
Then we had to say goodbye to the seniors, and I'm going to skip this part cuz it's too sad. I will miss them too much :(
So then Devin and I left for Boston and we got to her house around 2:30 or something? took an hour and a half nap. I was so exhausted, I fell asleep immediately even though her bro was drumming:) hahaha. Then we went into the city and went to faneuil hall and quincy market and spent too much money that we dont have. Had delicious taco salad for din and ice cream! walked to the harbor and took a photo shooot (check out facebook! hilarious) Then went home, watched some TV and went to bed.
Next day we had CEREAL and went to the Museum of Science which was so fun! So many ridiculous games and fun things to look at. I love things where you can push buttons and stuff haha. Saw a 3-D movie on Leopards which was only like 12 minutes long. It was still cute. Then saw an Imax movie too on the Galapagos which was interesting. In the beginning they show a shot of a bunch of birds and Devin and I both said at the same time "blue.. footed.. booby" hahaha.
Thennnn went to Newbury street and shopped and had dinner at American Joe's. Delicious. And we had this adorable waitor named Pat who was just so silly. Left and went home around 8 and got home just in time for House Finale and Crufts dog show (this is a 2 year old bitch...) THen we watched Deal or No Deal and OH my god the woman was crazy...but she won like $400,000! Then we watched The Emperor's New Groove. I thought I had seen part of it, but now I'm pretty sure I hadn't so I'm glad we watched it! Then bedtime! Got up and went home.
THE END! I've just written a novel.
Tomorrow I'm going to Jen's new apartment in Troy to help her paint! Awesome. She has been talking non stop about what colors she's using and how the apt. should flow etc.. So I can't wait for this to happen and be over with! hahaha. Oh Jen, I love her, but good God that woman can talk for a long time! Alright, I'm going to go eat some watermelon with my parents and then who knows what? I can't wait to visit Devin again!
P.S. We're officially seniors now :-\ scary...
