DC finally republished it last year, in two different hardbound editions.

... you had to go putting me on the spot for specifics!

This list is in no particular order, and some entries may change over time, but just as a stab:

  1. Superman vs. Muhammad Ali, by Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams.
  2. All-Star Superman, by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely.
  3. Superman: Last Son of Krypton, by Elliot S! Maggin. (Novel.)
  4. "For The Man Who Has Everything", by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.
  5. "The K-Metal from Krypton!", by Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel.

Traditionally, of course, one of the fighters would be the reigning monarch, who would naturally emerge victorious, thereby reaffirming the legitimacy of their reign.

You know, I've still never seen/visited the Farallons. Though, a quick check suggests access is highly restricted now, with ferries only going in the vicinity, not landing - quite a pity, as it'd seem to offer some excellent photographic possibilities.

Luthor and Batman arranged that fight, didn't they? And is that Clark's editor in the background, or Spider-Man's?

I don't think boxing day means people actually engage in boxing matches. :D
