Occasionally, my gamer husband gets a gleam in his eye, leans in close, and recites those 7 dirty words....

And I, because I am a good wife and I love him dearly, I resist the urge to run, screaming from the house.

Regardless of the seven dreaded words, I am constitutionally incapable of being annoyed:

A) Because KLDR is so entertaining. And necessary when people (as they will undoubtedly this Saturday) get shot up (for values of 'shot').

B) Because I'm a huge Rush fan and The Body Electric is up there with 'Prime Mover' in my book for 'generally underappreciated Rush tunes'. And I also have a surreal soft spot for Styx.

Styx is the soundtrack of my high school years, so at least I have an excuse.

  • 1977 - 8th Grade - The Grand Illusion
  • 1978 - Freshman Year - Pieces of Eight
  • 1979 - Sophomore Year - Cornerstone
  • 1981 - Senior Year - Paradise Theater
  • 1982 - Graduation
  • 1983 - College Freshman - Kilroy Was Here released on my 19th birthday.
