OK, so this could be my GP/GP's office screwing up, but I've just been out to them to pick up the prescription and get it filled... and they have no prescription ready for me and no record of a fax or similar from my psychiatrist.
I've just phoned Conifers, failing to get through 'direct' to the secretary involved after letting it ring for over a minute, so rang the main reception instead and left a message with that person. I'm surprised I sounded all calm and polite as I'm about ready to explode over this.
I was already faced with not doing much for a week after going back on Quetiapine, as I know it will make me all sleepy, groggy and generally unable to think coherently or a week, and some of that will continue into a second week. Now I could be looking at a further delay of another week before I even start it. That's based on how it could easily now be tomorrow before my psychiatrist sorts out his end of things, and it can take 2 working days for my GP to actually produce the prescription, so it could easily now be Thursday before it's ready.
Oh, and this is hardly the first time I've had trouble like this. Many times over the years I've had failures to be referred as I was promised. I'm beginning to wonder if any of these people are actually trained psychiatrists, or just escaped mental patients themselves.
