Well, at least that's what all the bumf that's come with my notification of my surgical appointment is saying.
On the 23rd November I need to go in "for 1 to 4 hours" for pre-op tests (to make sure I'm not going to keel over from whatever anaesthetic they use, and don't have MRSA already). That's fine, the appointment is at 12:30, so not too early and I can just bring a couple of books to kill the time.
But then on the 28th November, the day of the operation, I need to get there for SEVEN FUCKING FORTY BLOODY FIVE IN THE CUNTING AM. Yes, 07:45, *AM*. This is doable, just, as buses run early enough, but it won't be fun.
Now, as mentioned, the leaflet/letter keeps on saying how I should have someone to drive me home from the hospital and to take care of me for a day after. I'm thinking this is just them playing it safe, but maybe I should take note of it. Remember how I keep whining about how I know no-one in Fleet, and have totally failed to remedy this? Note also that the appointment is only 15 days away. Um, so, I don't suppose anyone just so happens to be free the 28th/29th Nov and wants to come visit me :P ? You get to see the wonders of Frimley Park Hospital, the crappy transport system here, and my flat. Exciting eh ?
Anyway, off to what may be my last physiotherapist appointment.
