Grrr Medication Withdrawal
So, since going from 60mg/24 hours to 60mg/36 hours (of Cymbalta/Duloxetine) I'd been feeling a little light headed at times. Then I started on 60mg/48 hours, Wed -> Today.
Tonight going to and from Hart Leisure Centre to observe an Aikido class I felt a little of the 'headrush' sensations in both head and feet. Yup, just the same as when I came off Venlafaxine cold-turkey at the start of 2001.
*sigh*. So I'll go back to 60mg/24 hours and next week go see my GP again and INSIST he write a prescription to take me down to 40mg/day. It's that or I'll start experimenting with breaking the caps open before I swallow them (as they're gastro-resistant I assume this will mean the medication will be less effective). It's his choice, either help me come off the medication now or deal with me having tried to do it by myself.
