It's going to be a gigtacular weekend. Friday is a show/partythang at Mitch's house with Translation and Lucid Soule and probably another local. I really want to go to the show at Andrew's...what's a boy to do. Saturday is Reflux for the billionth time...should be fun watching 14 year olds get into metalcore for one night and then diss it the next night. TABH will pull out some surprises, no doubt. After that is the party on Carlotta, which will be madness. TABH is dressing up Gangs of New York style...suspenders, pinstripe suits, cigars, etc. I want to go to Frenchmen St. after Carlotta, but I'll probably be too tired.
I'm getting healthy, and it's kind of scary. What's scarier is that I kind of like feeling healthy and on top of my game. Bizarro Andy must have bogarted my skin.
I saw Circle Takes the Square and Ed Gein last night. CTTS was incredible. I want a sample setup like the drummer had. Ed Gein was tight as always...played some awesome new stuff. Rat in a Bucket (NOLA death/grind/sludge) played, and I enjoyed the hell out of that.
Eric, I'm all over that Illogic show at the Parish Room. Illogic is a bad fucking MC.
