Neil wouldn't lie to himself; he was a bit frightened. No, seriously Wilson, what the fuck?

Neil didn't mean to feal so disturbed by the obviously incredibly high spirits of pseudo-father #2, but at this point he was so used to Wilson's frown and sad eyes that he couldn't help but stare. It was good, though. It was nice to see Wilson smile.

"Um... just reading over a script," he smiled back. "Auditions for the next community play are coming up."

What the fuck, indeed. James Wilson content? The world didn't know such a thing. Wilson returned the smile, chuckling at Neil's blank stare.

"Oh?" asked Wilson with interest upon hearing about the play, stretching his arm over the back of the couch and turning to face Neil. "What's our leading man going to play this time, then?"

"Hopefully this 'Ren' character," Neil answered, handing the script to Wilson. He'd never heard of this show before, but knew after some light research that it was actually a movie in the 1980s which was later converted to a musical for Broadway, where it originally flopped. It was, however, now huge for high school and college level productions.

Neil could see why. 'Footloose' didn't exhibit the same depth and mental prowess he'd come to expect from Shakespeare. Not even close, really. But... the songs on the soundtrack he'd downloaded did make him snap his fingers a little. And he'd actually sort of started to *like* singing after doing 'A Funny Thing Happened.'

Course, if he got this part, he'd have to dance too. A lot. And well... that wasn't something he was looking forward to.

Wilson skims the first few pages and wears a thoughtful expression. Then he stops flipping and looks up at Neil with widened eyes and an amused look.

"Footloose? That's...you're going to have to dance quite a bit, I hope you know."

He handed the script back to Neil with a grin and squeezed his shoulder. "Still, you're a much better actor than Kevin Bacon. And better looking too. I should know."
