Who: Lee Adama and [Open!] What: Apollo arrives.. and has no idea where he is. Where: The Ravine When: Early morning - just after sun-up. Why: Because he ran out of fuel. Status: In Progress Rating: Probably PG - PG13.
Lee had noticed the approaching person even as he climbed into the ravine, moving cautiously down the slope. He had put his hand on the gun at his thigh (the shiny material of his flight suit had certainly made him easy to see, though it was brown and was supposed to blend). However, this person wasn't one of the cylon models he knew.. and if it was one of the final five, well.. then that could be dealt with later. Right now, he was banking on the fact that this person was completely and totally harmless. But he wasn't taking his hand off of his gun
( ... )
"Aternaville Canada.." Never heard of it. But it was good to know where he was. And he was coming forward the rest of the way, removing his hand from his gun to extend the gloved apendage out to the one-man-welcome-party. "I'm Lee Adama.. Major Lee Adama with the Colonial Fleet." A Major. Looked like the Captains were outranked! Not that it mattered, really, none of them were from the same military command. And after a handshake, he was lowering his hand and looking around again, before blue eyes found the dirty blonde. Remus, he'd said.
Kara Thrace was in a panic as she zipped down the road on her bike. Pedal faster Thrace, faster. She'd been biking to work from her apartment when she saw what looked just like a Mark VII Viper buzz the town trying to make what looked like a pretty hairy landing work.
Frak work... she was going after that Viper, if it was a viper.
Lee'd been flying a Mark VII... maybe.
She stopped herself from thinking that, and just pedaled faster.
Kara made it to the edge of the ravine and scanned left and right. There to the east. Smoke. She started down the cliff only to notice two people climbing up.
Apollo was just about to say something else to his companion, his mouth had opened and he was mid-noise, when someone came over the peak of the hill on a.. was that a bicycle? He lifted his head and straightened up on the hill, his gloved hand leaving the balance that the dirt provided and he turned his face towards the woman on the bike. The woman with blonde hair. And he let out a breath, eyes widening. Starbuck.
"Kara!" Called out to her, but she'd already be going down the cliff on that bike and it certainly wouldn't be an easy thing to stop.
She managed to hit the handbrakes and flop the bike sideways on a relatively flat area before that largeish ledge finally tipped off into the last steep grade to the bottom.
She looked up at the two men, now at least 20 to 25 feet above her. One male had the same build as Lee and was wearing what looked like a colonial flight suit, "Lee?" She yelled up the cliff.
"Kara!" He turned then to begin moving down, but slipped in the dirt and ended up on his back, sliding down the steep side, but kicking out a foot now and then to catch himself on rocks and slow his slide-- he'd end up on the same ledge and get quickly to his feet before closing the ground between them (only about thirty feet) very quickly. He almost slammed into her with the force of his embrace, wrapping his arms around her back and jerking her in close, pressing her body against the slick material of his flight suit. "I thought you were dead." Breathed into her ear as he held her close.
That made the Major let out a slow breath and he looked around again, then back to her. "Well we're not going to figure out anything standing here on this ledge. Come on. We'll get your bike.." His mouth quirked up as he looked down at the battered thing, then he laughed and shook his head before bringing blue eyes back up to her. "And then you, Captain, are going to explain all of this to me after I've had a shower." Because he was sweaty now, under his suit-- thanks to the heat outside and the insulating material of his flight suit, which was made to keep him warm in the freezing temperatures of space. Not to mention dirty.
Starbuck snorted and took the handle bars of her bike, well, time to haul that thing up the slope... she hadn't really thought that far ahead when she'd careened off the side.
"Well, Frak," she said as she looked up the slope.
"It was a brilliant idea, Kara." He smirked and looked back up the slope, then back at her. "We're going to need rope. We can drag the the bike on and haul it up." No use trying to drag it up.
